Construction of 250m of detention basin retaining walls up to 2.4m high consisting of insitu concrete foundations and walls, faced block work and 1m high structural steel frame with 35mm thick ‘Plexiglas’ infill panels. The Plexiglas panels serve a dual function; allow uninterrupted views of park for nearby residents and hold 1m in height of water during a major storm event. Other works included major intake drainage structures, twin 1200mm pipe line construction, concrete ramps, stairs and associated handrails, fencing & 2500m2 of turf reinstatement.
